Rev. Joy Gonzalez
Joy is thrilled to be back in Dallas, her childhood home, with her husband, Elliott and French bulldog puppy. Her passion to serve the world through the local church drove her to pursue a Master’s of Divinity degree from Saint Paul School of Theology and become a commissioned elder in the United Methodist Church. Over the last decade Joy has served in various ministry roles, such as a youth director, young adult pastor, and associate minister at Life Christian Center and Liberty United Methodist Church. Joy currently is appointed to Highland Park United Methodist Church (UMC) as an Associate Minister and is a pastoral resident in the Mark Craig Leadership Network. In these roles, Joy has assisted in the launch of Highland Park UMC’s third church campus, The Grove, and in the development of the Mark Craig Leadership Network’s fellowship program. When Joy is not scribbling on her whiteboard, she loves to explore new restaurants with her husband and cheer loudly at her niece’s soccer games.
